With the corn, what's the difference between using flaked corn/maize and doing a cereal mash with cornmeal? I've done the cereal mash, and it has seemed to work out well. I guess the flaked corn would be easier to use though...?

Way easier, just chuck it in the mash. The lazy way is the only way.

plus it doesn't add much flavor as where the cereal mashed cornmeal would add a little more of that corn flavor. I have done both and it really dont matter to me. I just do the cereal mash while heating the strike water. Normally by the time the strike is heated the cereal mash is done. I will bring ya 5#s here when I get my pbw.

[QUOTE=Fijidave12;3017854]Hey guys, Bobby and I have discussed this a couple times in the past...what if we buy a few sacks of something like Special B or Roasted Barley, and then everyone can split it so we can get just a couple lbs each. I know I don't need 11# of Roasted Barley sitting around. Any other suggestions on grains we might want to split as a group?

I know I will need a couple of pounds of;
CaraPils
Crystal 10L (or whatever name it goes by)
Now I just need a grain mill, hurry up Rebel!!!

We can do whatever you guys want to do. As long as we have enough interested parties we will buy whatever you guys want to buy. I wouldn't mind buying another couple of cases of Star San.

I could use a little roasted barley.
Anyone want to do a split of honey malt? I'm in for a 1/5 sack if we can get enough takers.
