Olympia WA Group Buy

Check post #78 for updated quantities of available hops

Here we go, this should be simple. We are shooting for a full pallet purchase of grains by the bag. If you want less than a full bag, the price will be listed next to the bag price as a per lb price. I just requested a new price list from GWM. Prices have changed a bit. Price also reflects a $5 per bag charge to pay for the gas for transporting the grain from the malter to Olympia. Pickup will be in Olympia at my brewery. Address will be furnished with invoice. These prices are for the 40 bags or less. If we get more than 40 bags, a price break will be involved and that amount refunded upon pickup.

And now for the HOPS!!!
Hop prices do not have a fuel charge as we are going there anyways and hops aren’t that heavy. Hop orders need to fill the 11lb minimum. Any hops total that isn't close to the 11lb mark will not be filled. I can cover a pound or two per type to make it happen for everyone else. All hops are T90 pellets.

Ahtanum 7-9% $7.09
Brewers Gold 6.9-8% $6.56
Cascade 4.5-7% $6.30
Centennial 9.5-11.5% $7.61
Chinook 11-13% $7.61
Columbus 14-16% $6.04
Fuggle 4-5.5% $8.14
Galena 11-13% $6.83
Glacier 5.8-6.4% $6.56
Golding 4-5% $7.35
Hallertau 3.5-5.5% $7.61
Horizon 12.13.5% $9.45
Liberty 3-5% $8.40
Magnum 13-15% $7.38
Millennium 15-16% $6.04
Mt. Hood 5-8% $7.61
Mt. Rainier 6.7-9.5% $7.61
Northern Brewer 6.5-7.5% $6.56
Nugget 12-14% $6.04
Palisade 6-10% $7.35
Perle 7-9.5% $8.40
Saaz 3.5-4.5% $8.40
Santiam 6-7% $8.40
Sorachi Ace 10-11% $10.76
Spalt 3-4.5% $7.35
Sterling 5.5-7% $7.35
Summit 15-16.3% $6.56
Tettnang 4-5% $8.66
Tradition 5-6% $6.56
Vanguard 5-7% $7.35
Warrior 14-16% $6.56
Willamette 4-6% $5.51

These hop prices are outrageously low. For what you would pay for 2-3 ounces, you could get a lb.

All orders will be through this thread. I will PM an invoice to you and payment will be accepted through Paypal ONLY. Orders need to be in by 3/15/11. Orders will be available for pickup on 3/19/11. This is prepay only, I don't need a bunch of extra sacks to store on credit, ya know? Let's get it done and save some money. Current prices in Olympia are $1.50lb at Healthcrafts and $1.79+ at Rockytop, you do the math.

I will be doing a whole leaf hop group order in the future from hopsdirect.com (I have family in the area and can stop by after a visit from the farm). Keep an eye out for that order.

Great idea! I'll PM you later with an order.
Where will the actual pickup location be?

rp5brew 02-28-2011 08:38 PM

DJ-

I have a business account through GWM and get prices significantly less than the ones you have listed- PM me if you want to collaborate. I could save all us oly/Tacoma brewers a fair amount of cash.

Order in!

I'm assuming that requests for anything less than a full bag are subject to revision based on what everyone orders? If only one person orders 10lbs of acidulated malt, you won't be buying a full sack, right?

Great Western Malts
2 row - Full Bag

Baird's Malts
British Pale Ale-Maris Otter - 30 lbs (give or take, very flexible)

Best Malz
Pilsen Malt - Full bag
Wheat Malt (1.5L) - 15 lbs (give or take, very flexible, will accept other wheat malt if necessary)

Thank you for arranging this. Looking forward to it!

I'm too far away to get in on this, I'll have to get something going locally since my grain supply is getting low.

FYI the Superior Pilsen is in a 55# sack not 50#

This is simple

Sorry about the mathmatical error. It wasn't cut and paste and I had to recalculate the who shebang.

BTW, If you want hop prices like what I can get and it is economicably feasable for you, I am willing to go out of my way to ship via flat rate USPS.

Are we talking $5 flat rate boxes?:ban:

djsethall 03-01-2011 02:46 PM

I guess that would depend on how many lb's of hops you order. Just count on the $12.95 flat rate box.
