Default New Mass Group Buy (Dec 2011)

Here is the listing for folks looking to do a group buy in the great state of Massachusetts. We have the buyer taken care of but need a delivery site to keep costs down. If we can figure out someone with a loading dock and pallet jack or fork truck the shipping would be $80 per pallet with each pallet holding 42 sacks of grain. Here is the list of folks and what they want for sacks. I am also going to list ppl that was partial sacks of specialty grains.

is there a price sheet somewhere with what's available at what cost? Even if it just had the list of available malts that'd help.

The South Jersey/Philly Thread has a link to the current price list as well as some other information regarding North Country Malt orders.

The Briess and Great Western are the US brands that they carry. If you look to the right of the grain that you want the price per pound will be there. For right now I would use the less then 2000lbs price. So say it is 61 cents per pound a 50lbs sack would run $30.50 then figure on at most $5 bux shipping per sack. I am hoping to do this as offtain as people find use in it.

I'm going to get involved in this. Will check out what I need and put in an order tomorrow.

When are you looking to place the order, and are you going to follow the Philly group buy process for dealing with payments?

I was hoping that we would have enough to fill a pallet buy the end of the month latest. I am going to order threw a local brewery that has an account so Briess should not be a problem. If ordering Briess end up being an issue other the Carpils there are decent alternatives. We are still looking for a loading dock if anyone has one. We do have a person that would be willing to unload and store the grain but they are in NH. This is pretty new to me so any help or advise will be helpfull

So whats the good word - trying to figure a few more sacks for the pallet and filling some of the split bag orders?
