These days, I'm not brewing as much I would like so I have a surplus of ingredients right now, but it is good to see more Pittsburgh area people on here.

Right now I've been buying at my LHBS but if we could get some people together it would be a lot cheaper.

I still get my grain from my LHBS (in Oakmont) as well. But I would be interested in a bulk hops buy if anyone is interested. I've needed an excuse to buy a vacuum sealer.

I just ordered a sack from the LHBS but I would be in for a group buy.

Bugman9317 - Do you have an account with Country Malt? You stated you've been buying from the LHBS(Three B's?) currently and you can't do a large buy without an already established account with one of the bigger malt companies.

My wife is from Aliquippa. Might be moving back there in a few years, getting tired of Socialist CA. Nice to know some homebrewers are there for the move....I loved Church Brew Works. Fat Heads on south side rocks too

Those are just the tips of the iceburg... Rather than hijacking this thread any further, I think i'm going to create a thread "Best Bars in ____" Hopefully all of you Pittsburgh guys will chime in and point me to some cool new places

Yes I have an account with country malt so all we need is a 42 bag order.

I'd be interested but. No offense here though. Last new member that did this ended up falling through. Strange thing is he had a 'club' site and it was never mentioned in his own forum. Not really trying to be a smart ass here, but who are you and why should we trust you?

There are some folks in NE Ohio that would like to participate in a group buy and I live in Youngstown so could probably pick up around 10 bags for the area in my small pickup. It could then be picked up from me to go to other areas. Think 'relay race' type of deal.

I wish this would've come up a few weeks ago. Right now I'm sitting on 4 sacks which should last me a few months.
