i make my own lump, so it doesn't bother me to over use, but if I fill my basket up (10lb) in my best UDS, i can go 16 hrs without a refill. took me a bit to reach this but it is doable. In my snp offset I burn hickory handle mill scrap which is 2"x2"x15" pieces. in the double barrel, I can't get it up to temp with charcoal, it takes full 24" split logs
