Hi

I just bought my first PID. It's a Sestos D1S-vr-220 with SSR output.
Link http://sestos-hk.com/English/download/D1S-EN.pdf..
The plan is to control a 500W heating element, but i'm a rookie when it comes to electronics:eek:

The question is whether i need an external relay like the one below, or has this unit a relay of its own? Is the SSR output only for controlling an external relay?
We use 240V in my country.
The SSR output has the following description:
12V; Alarm 1 AC250V 3A(Resistive load) NO/NC.

Would be appreciated if someone could steer me in the right direction.
Thanks

Short answer is you are going to need a solid state relay. I am using the same PID and it's output is for use with a SSR.
