I have just bought a PID temperature controller D1S-VR-220http://sestos-hk.com/english/product_show.asp?productid=495
for my beer brewing kit including a pt100 sensor and solid state relay. All in one kit from Ebay.
I want to use the PID controller as an ON/off relay for the water heater to get the predefined temperature.
When I plug the pt100 sensor to the PID (plug 3 and 4) and choose pt100 (Sn=21) in the operation settings - then I get a flashing error saying "orAL". How can that be?
But if I set the "input senser" to K-type (Sn=0) then the PID can measure a temperature of approx 23-25deg Celcius. But not higher or lower.
I have made a small test setup with a normal kitchen boiler, where the water temp was approx 50degC, then the temperature (PV) on the PID showed only 24degC.
How can that happen and do anyone had that same problem.
Furhtermore do you know the difference between the three settings for the "control output":
0 = ON/OFF
3 = PID (Default setting)
2 = Auto adjustment
Do you also know the difference between the three settings for the "run" mode:
0 = Manual
1 = Automatic
2 = Inhibit manual (Default setting)
Hope you can help me......
