Default My Auberins order arrived! Dang, PIDs are much smaller than I thought

I need to get a few more parts from my local Graingers, but I am hoping to have the controller done by the weekend. For some reason I was thinking that the PID would be about 4 inches square, so I was surprised to see that it is barely half of that. Here it is mounted in the Auberins project box, and a closeup with a quarter for size reference. Small or not, I can't wait to put that bad boy to work!

Looking good! Can't wait to follow your build. BTW - Great choice in selecting the Auberins project box. Wishing you lots of fun and success.

Yes I was surprised also. I made paper cutouts to show where on my panel I wanted the PID and timer and couldn't believe it was only 44mmx44mm. Waited to get the PID and timer before I made any further decisions. Got them in the mail last week and yup they were just that small! They look good when powered up and take only a few minutes to learn to program.
