Default lengthening K thermocouple wire?

Is there anything I need to take into consideration-wise when lengthening these wires and putting some form of quick-release to the side of my case?

Make sure you get a K plug and K extension wire.

Yep, this. McMaster Carr has everything you need.

I'm switching to RTDs because they are less of a pain in the ass. The TKs worked great for 4 years, but I'm rebuilding and I don't want to deal with the special wire and connectors etc.

I've got 2 K's, a dual TK socket, and you can have them free. You just have to wait for me to finish the conversion on mine, which will be in a week(ish). In fact, I'm expecting my RTDs today, so if they show up, I might get the rebuild done this wkend. Note they are 4 years old, so not so pretty.

PM me an address and I'll shoot them out to you.

BigFloppy, if you don't need all of them, I'm just building mine and didn't even realize these existed

I'd need a female plug and male connector if you could spare. If not, no worries.
