I'm looking to do something similar to kal's www.electricbrewery.com
i'm wondering if i can use this can on breaker to protect my life

Cheaper to get a 50 amp spa panel of home depot, they are 50 bucks

That's pretty expensive. I bought the SquareD equivalent for about half, but it was used.

Are you certain it will fit in your breaker box (don't mean to offend, but perhaps you didn't know that breaker boxes are all different).

i just went to my homedepot online store and its 215 bucks for 50 amp gfci with the case

A lot of us are using that $50 spa panel. PJ has a couple wiring diagrams showing how to hook it up.
