Also I would still opt for the ripple style since you can make it shorter vs the foldback where you cannot. It is going to be a tight fit in the 13.5" but I made mine work with a extra o-ring.

Agreed but I think the element is closer to 13". There is a thread on here somewhere where someone measured both element lengths and IIRC the foldback was only .25/.5" less than the ripple. I chose the ripple with my 13.5" kettle and it hit the sidewall, so I had to shorten it. I was afraid if the foldback was even a touch too long I would have wasted $25 and have to order the ripple anyway.
