Default Anyone used one of these Pid's?

I was thinking of getting one of these.http://www.ebay.ca/itm/100-240VAC-PI...#ht_1474wt_966 with one of these. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Camco-4500W-2...#ht_1630wt_732 just wondering if they are junk or if they will do the trick?

just ordered similar here http://www.aliexpress.com/item/5-IN-...630010631.html probe seems better. they can get bad reviews cause I think many different company makes copy and nobody knows which one is good and which one sucks. So basically it's hit or miss. But I'm taking a chance at that price.

Just doesn't make sense to spend a couple hundred dollars on these items when you can get them from China for $25!

Not sure if it matters or not, but I didn't see that it did Fahrenheit. Implies to me that it is in Celsius.

A little conversion table taped to the side of your control panel will do the trick. If we can save over 20$ it's a small price to pay to get used to celcius.

I have no experience with them as I use a BCS, but yeah they sound totally awesome. There have been many many posts about this. My observation is that they seem to be popular only with the tightest of the tight wads. They sound like a complete time hole to me compared to just buying one from auberins.

Here's another thread that speaks to people's experience with those Rex PIDs: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f235/tem...isplay-355974/
Personally, I'd rather buy a quality item the first time around. I bought Aubers. And no, I have no connection to that firm, other than as a satisfied customer.

Winston Churchill once said:
You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after they've tried everything else.

Change American's to homebrewers and you get the picture.
