12.5 inch Diameter, 6.5 gallon pot

I've been brewing on my electric stove in my 5 gallon pot which is a 12 inch diameter. As you all know, its a pain to boil anything over 4 gallons in a 5 gallon pot.

I bought a 6.5 gallon pot that was a 15 inch diameter....and it sucks cause it is so much bigger than my heater element. I can't make good contact with the way my stove is.

I think I need to find a pot with the bonded thick core on the bottom. Anyone have a link to such? I'm having trouble weeding though them all across different sites.

So basically, a 26 quart or bigger pot (13 inch diameter or less) with a thick core on the bottom so i don't burn the malt.

They are about 12 inch diameters (perfect for me) and 6.5 gallons. I think the first one is meant for seafood boiling, the other is for turkey fry.

Would this be a good choice to boil wort in?? Or any other suggestions on a 6+ gallon pot that is 12.5" diameter or smaller?

The quality of the stainless steel 18/8 is definately a good "food grade" stainless so I guess it comes down to whether or not it will fit properly on your stove for your use. Good Luck!
