Default Would anyone be so kind as to ship me a scoby?

I recently moved 3x in three months and my kombucha operation didn't make the move. I'd gladly pay shipping and send a token of appreciation!

You might try your local Craigslist, if you haven't already. Here's what I found on mine (Oregon):

http://eugene.craigslist.org/for/3547878798.html

http://corvallis.craigslist.org/for/3543129085.html

I don't know if they would ship, but it's an option if you can't find anything local.

Great! I found one right away. Can't believe I didn't think of that.

Buy a bottle of raw unflavored Kombucha and throw it into a jar. You should have a new scoby in no time.

Don't forget to feed it some sweet tea!

Either way. You won't 'need' sweet tea until you've achieved a SCOBY and need to build it up from there.
