How do these guys look? I'm a little concerned with nibble-mark looking spots on one (no, nothing actually nibbled on it) and the dark color of the other.
They look fine, the nibbled area was likely caused by a gas bubble. No biggie. The scoby can change color due to tannin in the tea and oxidization. They look good, really.

Whew, good to know! I just froze the darker one and loaded the nibbled one into another fresh batch of sweet tea. Mmm. Appreciate the advice!
