Default "Don't go Blind"

Hello all.....

A week or so ago i made a 1 gallon test batch of tea using 25 tea bags, and 2 cups of sugar..... with 5 gallons worth of dry wine yeast

The airlock is Bubbling quite steadily, however one of my friends made a disturbing comment.... "Don't go blind"

Isn't that an effect of methanol? Please explain this to me

Thanks in advance
JP

Methanol concerns come with distilling, not brewing. You are not distilling.

FYI, your profile says you're only 20. Not smart to join a forum about making alcoholic beverages and post that you did. Are you sure you entered the correct year of birth?

I agree. I wouldn't drink it for at least a year.

Beer is the mind-killer. Beer is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my beer. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see it's path. When the beer has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
