Default What style of Beer works bets with Gluten Free Grains.

I am starting my second batch this weekend (Happy Xmas!)

I was wondering what style of beer (pilsner, stout, IPA, etc) is normally accepted as the "best" style for GF grains. And I do understand that there are almost an infinite amount of variables to it.

Still I'd just like a push in the right direction.

I was thinking of using Sorghum Malt Extract (maybe Briess) and Malting some quinoa/oats of my own then toasting them (to give it that extra flavour).

Then experimenting with some different hop combos.

Maybe even different Yeasts.

Thank you and happy holidays!

Pales and Bitters, mostly because your options for darker brews are limited. Toasting oats or other grains can be tricky, but definitely worth the effort. I've made a sorghum bitter, split the batch into gallon jugs and steeped various toasted grains (mostly oats) experimentally during the ferment. Souring can be a problem though.
