Default What is Gluten?

Is it like DDT or GM fruits and animals?

If so I'm in.

It is found in wheat and is naturally occurring. Like pectin. Nothing unnatural about it. Some people are allergic to it in the same way some are allergic to nuts.

Not sure what Gluton is. Glutton has to do with the intake of mass quantities of food.

Gluten, as we currently know it, stems from a natural protein (prolamins so far as we know) and found in wheat, barley and rye, the core ingredients in traditional beer. Google gluten allergies and learn more about it.

It is what makes your bread and pasta products stretchy and chewy.

Oh mighty and all knowing Wikipedia, please come to our aid!

Serious note, my wife has Celiac's disease which is a autoimmune disorder and flare ups are triggered by the smallest amounts of gluten protein. The flare ups are no joke.. Which is why I brew gluten free beers, so we can enjoy the normal life.
