Interesting, what are you using for a "malt roller".

its a 15 gallon plastic drum placed on its side, it rotates on an axle attached to a wiper motor, it turns on once an hour to rotate the grain around so it doesn't overheat and all of it germinates at the same rate. It works but I am still working out some little nagging design flaws- mostly just making it less noisy so it won't wake up sleeping toddler and 5 month old daughter during nap time.

let me upload a photo of the first design. I fleshed it out some more and now it doesn't look as ghetto-still pretty ghetto but not as bad. I need to come up with a better end closure than just screen door material. but it works.

IT"S BEAUTIFUL!!!

It actually looks eerily similar to one of my failed kiln rollers here:http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/happiness-home-malting-107409/index8.html(see reply #80).
I am currently working on an all stainless commercial washer for malting purposes (You can see it later in the same thread).

Malt on my friend
