Well, we just call em pumpkins here!
I used Cucurbita Pepo, also known as jack-o-lantern pumpkins or Connecticut field pumpkins, Howden pumpkins, and Howden Biggie pumpkins.
Common canned varieties are Cucurbita Moschata.
Basically, get the big, orange ones.
