Default Yeast Slanting Pictures Volume I - Sterile Blanks

I have MUCH to say about this - it worked SOOOO well! 1.5% Agar, 1% Wyeast Nutrient, 7% DME - just like the sticky thread!!!! Next is innoculating with some White Labs Platinum strains beginning with the 2011 Zurich Lager Strain.... Pictures below (I hope).

Yes - still virgin until it sets. The agar gels it - MUCH better than unflavored gelatin packets do. I put the extra into baby soda bottles (waste of money non-autoclavable test tubes) and after 1 hr and 2 hrs pulled one - excellent gelatin consistency. They should innoculate like PROS!!!

I use 24 ml vials, which look to be the same size, as I have the same racks.

Yes - they are the same. They work excellent and fit the racks from amazon perfectly.

Are those 1 or 2 dram vials and 16mm tube racks? Dram vials are quite a bit cheaper than culture tubes, and made of the same borosilicate glass. I was wondering how big of a rack I would need to caddy them.

Edit: Just read about the vials, but still wondering about the racks...

Edit2: Figured it out. Can't delete post. 24mm tubes, 25mm racks.
