Default Yeast Nutrient

I recently obtained some equipment from a friend that he was getting rid of and there was some Wyeast Brewer's Friend yeast nutrient. I don't know how old it is, but could be 4-5 years old. Does this stuff go bad? Should I just throw it away?

They claim 1 year stability. I'm sure it would still do something but not at it's full original strength. I doubt it would be bad, but it is so cheap why take the chance.
