Yeast in my fridge.

So I have some leftover yeast in my fridge. It's Rogue's Pacman strain and I want to use it for my Irish red that I'm about to brew. The yeast has been in there, cold, for probably 8 months. Is it possible that its still usable? Is there a way to tell if its gone bad? Smell?
