Default yeast cake

I have brewed 6 extract kits and have not seen the solid cake of yeast on the bottom of the bucket as many of the brewers have stated. Am i doing something wrong? I use Wyeast liquid yeast. I have used the dry yeast in the past that comes with the kits.

do you think you are pulling up all of the yeast during transfer?

are you seeing nothing at the bottom of your fermentor?

The layer of trub under the beer is where the yeast is. It's a mixture of yeast and debris from fermentation.
