Default WLP400 why so slow?

Any one have slow progress with White Labs Belgian wit WLP 400? This picture is 3 gallons after 7 days

I believe a couple of years ago someone called WLP400 the "Homer Simpson" of yeast. Slow it is.

Dunno - mine's usually done within 7 days. Pitching enough healthy yeast? Also, the krausen may tend to stick around, even though the beer may be at FG. What's your gravity?

Should I take a reading through the krausen? I was going to leave it in primary for 3 weeks- maybe taking readings in the last few days.

1.023 this morning it's been 9 days at 71.5 F. I let the airlock fill with co2 and swirled it real good. Hope that helps.

This will probably teach me to make a starter.

Ok, a couple hours after a vigorous swirl I find the air lock full of krausen. Blow off installed- hopefully this is all That is needed to finish of fermentation.
