Is it better to crimp the tube for a venturi device using a pump or can one just solder in a 1/4" reducer and then an increaser? I believe I have these leftover from my CFC and do not have a flaring tool to crimp with.

Here's picture of what I'm considering, though with reducers rather than crimping.



Inline oxygenation may not happen in time for this weekend's brew session.
