Default Using an old yeast cake?

I'm fermenting a cider which is almost done (and is awesome btw) and will be starting a new batch once I bottle this one. I used S-04 and it's been fermenting 10 weeks. I left it in primary. I've thought about pitching on this yeast cake or using some slurry from this ferment to start the next batch. It would save a few dollars but more so I was hoping that next round would ferment faster. Would this work well? Any concerns about my yeast being so old?

No problem. Smell to make sure there is no vinegary smell of infection.

Pour it in and walk away... Once you have a cake, burn through the brews until you just don't feel like using that flavor of yeast anymore.

Go for it. I will be doing this monday as well because I don't have any more yeast left but still have an urge to brew!
