Default Use heat tape on my 15.5 gal sanke fermenter?

Just recently got a Sabco modified sanke fermenter and I'm going to want to bump up my ferm temps while brewing Saisons this summer. My question is can I use a heat tape type heater like this (but 3' long instead of 2')?


I would use a Johnson a419 controller and 9" thermowell.

Don't see why not; but I'd be sure to use a temp controller in tandem, as they recommend.
