Tinfoil to get 3724 going again

I am brewing with 3724 for the first time and its been almost two weeks in primary. Og was 1.057 and I've been at 1.021 for a few days now. I had the Carboy wrapped in two tshirts and two towels but the temp of my hydro sample was only 75f. I took a notion to wrap the Carboy with tinfoil to try and keep the heat in then put the shirts and towels back on. Will this work or am i waisting my time.

You are within range. I'd try rousing the yeast by gently stirring or swirling the fermenter. If possible, put a light or lamp nearby. The tinfoil will not retain heat.

Foil won't do anything. Aluminum is a terrible insulator. In fact, even the towels are a waste of time if there is no fermentation going on. There isn't any heat to trap.

2 weeks isn't enough. Leave it alone and find a good book.

If it really doesn't budge after another week or two, add Wyeast 3711 and stand back.
 
I brewed that strain this spring. I bought a 50w fishtank heater and submerged my bucket in a cooler with the heater all the way on kept it around 85. Fermented out to 1.005 (when cooled to 68*F)
 
3724 often likes it real hot to finish out. IF you can figure out a way to get it in the 80's to even 90's it will finish out. If you cannot get it real hot it may take a long time to finish.
 
I used a hydromat seedling heat mat that I picked up at Ace hardware for about $25 to get mine going again. Just taped it to the carboy and turned her loose! That strain is notorious for stalling but it's not done. It just slows to a painful crawl! On my stalled batch I actually pitched Brett in half and jacked the temps on the other-both finished around 1004 and I have to say I liked the Brett version better!
