So back in about Feb. of this year I brewed a rye saison and added a package of Brettanomyces Bruxellensis (Wyeast Labs #5112) to the secondary after about a week in primary.
Since then I have left it in a corner of my room covered with a blanket. I had checked it about 3 months ago and saw nothing happening with the beer but now just tonight I decided to take a look at it and there was a good half inch thick film of what looks to be mold.
Is this a normal thing the happen with brett? (first time using it). Sorry I have no pictures to share but I moved the carboy around and it disturbed the film.
