Default Super San Diego WL

FYI

Get a hold of some Super San Diego yeast from White Labs, it is great, similar to WLP 001 but attenuates in one week.

Cheers,

I was talking to the owner of my local homebrew shop about this. It honestly sounds exactly like pacman. He said he would pay me for a jar of pacman after the discussion haha

Funny you say that, my first impression of this yeast after having my fist pint was that it really tasted like a beer from Rogue. Maybe you are right, it did lack some of the fruity notes that WLP 001 attributes

I actually just did a very hoppy pale with the batch split between Pacman and SD Super. There's definitely a difference. My first impression was that 090 brought out the fruity hops a little better. In a week or two I should be able to offer a little better input on their differences.
