Default Starter wort question

I made 1L of wort for a starter that I never pitched yeast into and just kept it in the flask covered with foil in the fridge for the last 3 weeks. Is this safe to use at this point? I also have the yeast I want to propagate sitting in the same fridge. I assume the best thing to do is let them both warm to room temp, pitch the yeast and throw it on the stir plate.

It's probably fine. But if you're really concerned you can always boil the starter wort again for 5 minutes or so.
