Default Starter gone crazy!!

Maybe this is just crazy to me, but I have made a handful of starters before but they have never had a krausen like this!!! I figured it's be neat to share. =)

This is the first time I've washed yeast and used for a starter.

Question, how old is the washed yeast? I just washed some from my last batch for the first time. Unsure how long it will keep.

The yeast that I used in that starter was only a week old. I am kind of new to the yeast washing thing, but I don't know why I didn't start this sooner. I believe my LHBS charges $6.99 per vial of liquid yeast.

Here is a link the yeast washing thread that I got most of my information from.

Yeast Washing

I believe people say that the yeast can last for over a year and others even freeze there yeast.

Hope that helps.
