Default Recipe pipeline

Hi all

Lookin to create a recipe pipeline. I plan to do a half half split batch and use two different yeasts. I then want to reuse the yeasts from these two batches to pitch into my next split batch.

Looking for:
1) first beer to be a quick turn around
2) a beer style for both first and second batch
3) some good yeast suggestions for the experiment that would work well on both beer styles and is easy to handle for the repitch

The second beer can be bigger than the first

Suggestions are appreciated

What did you end up going with? I would do one that is a Session Pale Ale with WLP 001/007, then an IPA, then a DIPA/Barley Wine. The other, a super fast wheat or maybe a kolsch with WLP 029 followed by a stronger pale then followed by a super strong Winter Ale that would be ready for next year. That would get your pipeline going for a while.

Use wlp029. Brew a simple blonde ale first and then do an apa or IPA with the yeast cake. It's an awesome yeast and very versatile. I've used it for all the for mentioned styles with great results.

hey guys, thanks for your responses! I stopped getting push notifications for some reason so did not see it until just now.

I just moved to a new place and am nearly ready to get started with our operation again. we have taken a break during the move.

Thanks for the suggestions! I was also thinking of going for a blond followed by IPA! only problem - no access to White Labs products over here in Amsterdam. The only liquid (or rather, non-dry) we get here would be wyeast smack packs.

any suggestions for a Wyeast strain for similar results.

I was also considering an Ordinary bitter followed by an English IPA but would need to see how that works with the yeast profile first.

any links to good handling tips for re-pitching ?
