Default Is it possible to Over SANITIZE

Stalled fermentation into secondary on an American Ipa. I soaked my hop mesh bag in Sanitizer, but didn't wring it out the best I could, although I thought I got most water/Sanitizer out of it.

Would that kill ALL viable yeast, or just slow down secondary fermentation?

I've only moved from 1.031 to 1.030 in 5 days???

What kind of Sanitizer? I wouldn't think the little bit in the bag would stop fermentation.

Your problem is probably that you moved it out of primary too soon; If the beer is sitting at 1.030 it should still be in primary IMO.

What did your recipe look like? What temperature is the beer?

You could try pitching fresh yeast

+1 I don't normally use a secondary fermentor but if you do you should wait until fermentation is almost complete.

Thanks guys... i am brewing an Ipa, and it was star San. No worries, airlock started bubbling again... should be fine now.
