Default order of infection events

I think my Stout got an infection of some form.

None of my hydro samples tasted odd, but after a few weeks in the keg (in the fridge and a few days out again) i've noticed a sour taste at the end of each sip and a bit of sour odor. Haven't pulled the lid to see if anything is growing yet.

now my question.

I read here that it could be a lacto infection and that a lacto infection requires getting all new plastic everything, hoses, buckets etc.

Since i didn't notice this until it was kegged, do you think all of the plastic before the kegging is okay? I've since transferred and kegged another beer, which seems fine so far, so i'm not too worried about my autosiphon and tubing.

If anyone thinks it could be something else, please feel free to interject.

thanks.

I had one keg that I didn't clean good enough...... That beer got infected and I tossed it. The other keg of the same beer from the same batch was fine.

Since then, I bought a big brush to clean the cornies. I cut the handle off and chuck it in a drill. Cleans the kegs great!

Same problem here and I'm not throwing away my plastic. I did bleach everything I fermented with though. If I have time I'll pull my keg out this weekend and clean it (oxyclean) and bleach everything else.

are you externally carbonating? could be carbonic acid buildup if pressure too high. gives the beer a bitter finish and makes it a bit sour.

it certainly could be, but the two other beers i have on the same regulator aren't bitter, so i wouldn't think it would impact only one of the kegs. I'll purge and double check things.
