Default opinions on yeast

opinions on yeast.

I was thinking of a ruiniation clone but was trying to decide weither it should be brewed with WLP007 [dry english] or WLP002 [english ale]?

Personally I'd go with something like WLP090 San Diego Super Yeast for a high gravity IPA. It will attenuate better and let the hop flavors stand out more.

I would prefer WLP001 for a Ruination clone, but you'll probably get good results going with the WLP007. It's clean, works well on higher-gravity beers, and accentuates the hops.

I'd go with 007. I believe this is the yeast strain that Stone uses

And me, I usually go with the pacman, which is now my go-to yeast for most of the American style beers I make.
