Default An observation on washed yeast storage

I have successfully started and brewed with yeast that was washed and stored for well over a year.I have washed and reused notty....s-o5 and s-o4. So far the notty and s-o5 have started rather slowly and without much fanfare. The s-o4 on the other hand takes off like a rocket...for example I put a sample of s-o4 on the stirplate last night.. tonight it has about a 2-3 inch kraussen on top and it is thick with yeast.

Interesting, because I see the opposite with Notty.
