Default Need a stir-plate

So I'm looking to buy a stir plate. I don't want to make one, I want to buy one. I want to use it primarily for 2L, 5 gallon starters, however I do have a 5L flask and would like both to work with whatever stir plate I get.

Any recommendations for me?

I use this one with my 2L and 3L flasks without issue. I haven't [yet] used my 5L flask on it. If you want the mother of all stirplates, you could get this one.

Had the Hanna one we used in our lab at the water plant. Barely lasted one year.

How often was it used though?? Lab use level, IMO, is far more than home brewer use level. I've had mine for 1-1/2 years already and it's still going strong. When it [eventually] dies, I'll probably go for a more industrial model. Just have to wonder how many months/years before that happens.

Plus, I can get the cell count needed using the 3L flask with a two step starter.

IF/when I get another stirplate, I want something that will easily handle a 3L and 5L flask.

You might look at the website before denigrating the product - there is a 5L version available.

I DID look... Only saw reference to the one that can handle a 2L flask. If they have more models, then they need to state so on the page, in a place you don't need to dig through to find. I even posted "web site says it's sized for up to a 2L flask" which (to most people) would lead you to think I DID look at the site. Which I did.

Its on the front page of the website, on the middle column. Very easy to find. http://stirstarters.com/
