Default Mr malty question

If I'm using Mr Malty; where it asks for production date am I right on assuming it wants to know when the yeast was made or is it the date of your last yeast wash? After 4 gens its hard to remeber when I even purchased it.

When was it last active? I would use that, assuming it was handled well following.

I always assume it's last harvest/wash date. Been working well for me!

Wait. You're not talking about beer, right?
You're talking about beer. That could have been a whole lot more fun.

That would be easier than trying to figure the production date.

If you're using washed yeast, I would use the pitch from slurry functionality. Although I've heard its dependability is suspect, so if this is your feeling, you can always go with the liquid yeast tab.
