Mixing dry yeast with liquid yeast starter, ok or no?
I want to brew a tripel that calls for a 2.4 liter starter. I have 2 jars of washed Wyyeast 1762. The problem is I only have two 1L flasks and one stirplate. I was thinking that I could make a 1L starter and pitch that with a packet of Fermentis T-58. Is this just crazy thinking? Anybody ever mixed dry yeast with liquid at pitching? Is T-58 even any good for a tripel?
