I'm looking for some advice. While adding water to my wort, I grabbed a gallon jug of io-star with a concentration of 1/4-oz per 6-gal of water and added about 1/4 gal of the sanitizer solution to my 5-gal wort before I realized I had the wrong jug. My questions are; 1) at this concentration (io-star diluted in water, and then further diluted in the wort) do I need to worry about health affects? 2) will the io-star affect my yeast?

io-star is mostly just iodine, right?

post-patriot-act, you can't get iodine concentrations greater than what, 3%? (the logic behind this is, well, illogical)

MSDS says that io-star is 1.6% iodine and the rest is "inert".

so you took a 1.6% solution of iodine and diluted it way down, and then diluted it way down again.

I'm guessing that potential health effects are that you will be somewhat protected from radioactive iodine by drinking one of these beers.
