Should I just thaw in flask and pitch yeast or boil first? Thanks.
I boil first, but I'm not sure it's necessary. The bacterial load will be lower if you boil, but freezing will kill like 99.9% of the bacteria.
To paraphrase Dr. England - "Off-flavors smooth with time. So do mountains. Brew it right from the start!"

Since you have to boil it anyway why not do it before freezing?

Guess I should have elaborated. It's extra cream ale wort I couldn't get in my primary so I froze some thinking I'd use it for a starter.
i boil mine just in case and because most of the time is at higher OG than 1.040 so i have to dilut it anyway, i like freezing higher gravity wort, it take less space in the freezer
Boil it. I store mine in 2 gallon freezer bags. Who knows what is in them from the factory. Anyway, it can't hurt, and better safe than sorry.
