Default Founders Dirty Bastard yeast

Had a couple dirty bastards, and noticed sediment in the bottom. Didn't know they were bottled carbed, but had some small vials of starter wort ready and got a small starter going. Took off pretty quickly and after stepping up several times, ended up a nice yeast to store.

Went and googled for what kind of yeast it might be, and nothing comes up about it. Does anyone know what Founders uses?

I read here that they use 1056 in everything. http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f163/cul...-yeast-143818/

I'm not sure this is accurate, but you could try emailing them; based on what I've heard, they are pretty forthcoming with recipes so I imagine they'll tell you what kind of yeast they use.

I tried to email them a while ago about their All Day IPA but I couldn't find their email address on the website. Am I dumb, or did they take it down?

In other news, the last time I looked at their tap list they had a beer called Lil' Bastard. A session Scotch Ale?

Thanks for the link. Why waste my time with google, when the information was here all along?

We've been working on a clone for the All Day. Let me know what you think of the recipe.
