Default Flocks in yeast starter

First time I've seen 'flock' in my yeast starter. Need to know if it's ok to pitch? Wyeast packet swelled up normally. Have a picture, but don't have URL to post from.

Not sure what flock is, but if you mean it looks "chunky", it's fine.

use photobucket - but if it is the "clumps" of yeast like the White Labs Zurich Lager is good at producing it is fine.... Flocculent little bastages!!!

that's perfectly normal for some strains.. i would just suggest to chill it in the fridge then decant a bit but you'll be good

Just a guess but put in the fridge to make all the yeast settle to the bottom then pour (decant) the liquid (beer) off the top.

Cold crash means put it in the fridge for 24 hours, all the yeast will settle out and form a nice cake t the bottom,

Decant the liquid leaving just enough to swirl up the yeast into a slurry when you all the yeast to warm up to pitching temperature on brew day.
