Default fizzy white labs vial

so i just popped open a vial of WLP001 for a starter, and it's, well, fizzy. i rocked it back and forth to get all the yeast in solution, and usually those air bubbles release when you open it, but this one seems like it's almost carbonated or something. been a few minutes with the cap loose and it's still bubbling.

is it usable, or is it risky to pitch?

thanks in advance everyone!

EDIT: nevermind...googled it and found a couple similar instances, no one seemed to be too concerned. it's in the starter...

It's called brewkakke, open it slowly, gas builds up and can spray you.

It's all good!

Happens all the time. The yeast is alive and is generating co2 all the time, so it's filling the space with it.

That is the most messed up thing I've read on the internet in months.
