Default Fermentation going nuts

Have an IPAi l going crazy. the top came off partially and the airlock is full. I am getting blow off tube tomm. Can I just clean the airlock and out back on and leave the lid just gently partially open to hopefully help with releasing air???

Default Massive fermentation

Should be ok. You have a lot of pressure coming out. Not much can get back in. Hurry on the blow off tube though. I just stick my half inch hose into the hole of my stopper.

I would leave the top off slightly. Rather clean up krausen spilled on the side then a rocketed lid.

My IPA went crazy today as well. Ended up having to cut the top off a one piece airlock and attaching my siphon hose to it for a blow off.

Thinking about it now I might have tried finding a pen or something else with the right diameter and rigged that up.
