Is anyone using Ferment K yeast nutrient (or any other yeast nutrients for that matter) in fermenting beer? Do you add it to sanitized water then to the carboy? When do you add it? The directions that came with mine say to add after 1/3 sugar depletion. Do you see an improvement in your beer because of it?
I add yeast nutrient with about 10 minutes left in the boil. That way you don't have to worry about sanitation. I really don't know if it helps that much or not. It's cheap though and it's generally accepted that it helps so I figure why not.
