Default Delayed Start Starter

If I need to leave my starter in the fridge for a week, should I decant or leave the wort in the jar?

It's a 1.5 litre made with WLP840.

Thanks.

Leave it as it is, then decant when you need to use it. If it goes longer than a week I would decant and step again before use just to awaken the yeast again!

Can you pitch through a sterilized strainer?

"grab" the stir bar from the outside with another magnet, then slide it up and out the top of the flask.
