Default cropping us05 yeast for direct pitch?

I've got a vigorously fermenting batch using us05 that I would like to crop and pitch directly into another batch. Is it okay to do this?

Go for it! I've been doing a lot of harvesting lately. Skim the first rise and discard, then it'll rise again. Skim and keep this - repeat a couple more times and you're golden. Just repitch into new brew.

Cheers!

so this is what i did...

I scooped about 1 cup of fermenting beer and krausen into a bowl and let the foam settle. I repeated this twice more over the course of an hour and ended up with about two cups of beer/foam. I pitched this directly into my wort after hitting the wort with pure o2.

airlock is bubbling two hours after pitching ...

i'm usually more about process control but i was in a bind after assuming the two packs of yeast in the fridge were us05, when in fact they were Montrachet (both in a red package).
